Everyone is invited to stay for lunch after the 11:00 worship service. We have removed all the names from the prayer list. If there are any names you would like to see returned to the list, please let Carolynor Bro. Allen know. The Courtland administrative board will meet Wednesday evening at 6:30. Please make every effort to attend. Youth News- We are happy to have Meredith Welch home from her trip to Canada. Be sure and ask her about the fishing. UMYF will meet tonight at 6:00. Blessings Allen The soldier send-off for Mississippi Army National Guard Delta Company 2-198, organized by members of the Family Readiness Group, will be held tomorrow at the Batesville Civic Center at 9:30 a.m. If you would like to volunteer to assist the family members of our deployed soldiers, please see Topper Olson. Keep in mind that, since this is a year long deployment, this will be an ongoing need in our community. If you have old cell phones and would like to donate them to a worthy cause, bring them and place them in the collection box in the fellowship hall. Those collected will be given to the “Cell Phones for Soldiers” campaign. For each cell phone collected, a private company will provide a 60 min phone card for use by our troops overseas. The United Methodist Women made up 14 Easter Baskets for Faith Hospice and others. We would like to thank everyone for their donations. This means so much for those who can’t get out as they once were able. Don’t forget to make plans to attend the Good Friday service tomorrow night at 7:00. We will be having a Tenebrae (Latin for “shadows”) service. The purpose of the Tenebrae service is to evoke the feelings associated with a world plunged into darkness at the betrayal, arrest, trial, torture, and crucifixion of Jesus. April 10th is Good Friday and we will be observing this most holy occasion with a special evening service at 7:00. We will have an Easter Egg Hunt Saturday the 11th at 2:00. This will be for everyone, so children and adults bring your Easter Baskets. We will gather next Saturday, April 18th, at 5:00 for a special time of worship and fellowship. We will have sandwiches, salad, and desert followed by music and singing. Invite your family and friends, bring your musical instruments, and join us for a night of singing.
